Community Medical Camp | Bandaragama
The Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine (PGIIM), University of Colombo, successfully conducted a Community Medical Camp on 7 August 2026 at the Bandaragama Divisional Secretariat Auditorium.
Held from 8.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., the programme was organized in collaboration with the Western Province Ayurveda Department, Bandaragama Divisional Secretariat, and CMO Unit – Bandaragama, bringing a range of healthcare services closer to the community.
The medical camp provided valuable opportunities for the public to access general and specialist medical consultations, healthcare services for children and expectant mothers, laboratory investigations, and professional healthcare guidance.
🌿 This community initiative reflects the PGIIM’s continued commitment to promoting Indigenous Medicine, preventive healthcare and community wellbeing, while strengthening collaboration with government health and administrative institutions.
Our sincere appreciation goes to all the healthcare professionals, academic and administrative staff, collaborating institutions, volunteers and community members whose contribution made this programme a success.
Together, we continue to take healthcare and the knowledge of Indigenous Medicine closer to the people. 💚
