The Journal of the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine (JPGIIM) was officially launched on 18 December 2025

The Journal of the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine (JPGIIM) was officially launched on 18 December 2025 at the Board of Management Meeting, chaired by the Director and Editor-in-Chief, Professor S. M. S. Samarakoon. The copies of the inaugural issue of JPGIIM were presented by the Director, PGIIM, to Professor Indika Mahesh Karunathilake, Vice Chancellor of the University of Colombo, and Dr. P. K. S. Manathunga, Librarian (Acting).

This milestone marks a memorable and significant academic achievement of the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine. The JPGIIM is planned to be published on a biannual basis, contributing to the advancement of scholarly research in indigenous medicine.
