Visit of Professor (Dr.) Gunvant Yeola to the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo

On 15th July 2025, the Postgraduate Institute of Indigenous Medicine (PGIIM), University of Colombo, had the honour of welcoming Professor (Dr.) Gunvant Yeola, Professor in Kayachikitsa at Dr. D.Y. Patil Ayurveda College, Dr. D.Y. Patil University, India.

During his visit, Professor Yeola engaged in a fruitful discussion with the staff of PGIIM, focusing on future collaborations in the field of Indigenous Medicine and Ayurveda. The Director of PGIIM, Professor S.M.S. Samarakoon, officially welcomed him and shared insights on strengthening academic and research ties between the two institutions.

As part of the visit, Professor Yeola also conducted a guest lecture for MD trainees, which was successfully held and well-received for MD Trainees.

This visit marks a significant step towards enhancing international academic relations and enriching postgraduate training in Indigenous Medicine.
